What is FICCI - HEN?

FICCI - HEN is a network of higher education institutions and industry members to promote good practices in the higher education sector. Under the Initiative, the members will work towards developing standards and benchmarks as well as help enhance the capacity of the HE providers through collaborative ventures with other HE providers and the industry.

What are some of the activities initiated by FICCI - HEN?

A variety of things are lined up under the FICCI - HEN initiative.

• Interactive meetings between academia and industry for better understanding and convergence. This will give an industry perspective to the faculty and vice versa to help align the academia with industry requirements.
  
• Seminars and roundtables on current issues for policy debate and provide networking opportunities to leverage available opportunities through mutual cooperation.
  
• Capacity Building Programmes for member higher education providers for improving management standards and be globally competitive.
  
• Education Delegations abroad to showcase quality indian Higher Education abroad.

Can individuals become members of FICCI - HEN?

No, FICCI - HEN membership is open for institutions / organisations / networks only.

What is the FICCI - HEN Portal?

The portal is an important element of this initiative. It serves as a virtual platform for networking with the higher education institutions, industry and government. It also serves several other purposes like providing a resource centre with access to reports, policy papers, e leaning tools, fostering discussion among stakeholders through a discussion forum, providing information regarding members and hosting important news and events related to the Network and the Education Sector.

How can my institution become a member of FICCI - HEN?

The nomenclature and the forms for FICCI - HEN membership are provided on the Registration Site. All members are expected to follow the disclosure norms and the code of conduct. For more details please click here.

Is FICCI - HEN Membership the same as Membership of FICCI?

No, FICCI - HEN membership is not the same as membership of FICCI. Members of FICCI, unless members of FICCI - HEN cannot avail of the benefits of the Network and vice versa. However, FICCI members are not required to pay the one time registration amount .

How long is my Membership valid?

Your membership is valid until 30 June from 1 July of the preceding year. The membership shall have to be renewed in the month of June of each year at the fee prescribed by the Network.

Is the membership fee paid on a pro - rata basis?

No. The membership fee paid is not on a pro rata basis to bear the secretariat costs

How do I cancel my membership?

To cancel your membership, please email the FICCI - HEN Secretariat at ficci.hen@ficci.com.
